Dr Seng Kok Han (Consultant Psychiatrist at Nobel Psychological Wellness Clinic) talks about the increase in stress and sleep problems arising from work from home. He discussed how prolonged work-from-home arrangements over the past year have increased stress and sleep-related problems among working adults in Singapore. Dr Seng shared that in one of his most severe cases, a patient who was constantly worried that he would be next in line to get retrenched had difficulties concentrating at work and suffered from anxiety and insomnia. Dr Seng also stressed the importance of maintaining good sleep hygiene and shared a few ways that we can inculcate better sleeping habits to keep our stressors at bay.
